ALLAN BLOODLINES SECURES FIVE YEARLINGS IN JOHANNESBURG

Shares available in 2 year olds ready to run

7th Apr 2009

UK and South Africa based Allan Bloodlines’ now well established South African yearling purchasing continued in the remarkably solid trading at The Emperors Palace National Yearling Sales which concluded yesterday.

With 72% winners to selections for racing in South Africa, and 96% placed, Allan acts for local and European buyers, and stocks up for its own racing clubs, syndicates and future broodmares. Included in this year’s contingent purchased for local account are a filly costing R 450,000 by champion sire JET MASTER out of out of DIVINE DUEL, a Listed winning, Gr.1 placed mare and two Australian bred fillies, one by DEHERE from the family of Klawervlei Stud’s Gr.1 stallion CASEY TIBBS and another by ROYAL ACADEMY which fetched R 300,000 and 250,000 respectively, either side of £20,000 each.

A colt and filly by star stallion CAPTAIN AL go to Allan’s main trainer Vaughan Marshall in Cape Town where UK and SA based members of Allan’s “Straight Bat Racing” (£600 for a full year) have enjoyed recent wins and places with their three horses which include a new JET MASTER colt. A UK syndicate had a winner in Cape Town with the cheaply purchased MONDANE and four current broodmare prospects have all won. Low cost shares are on offer in a lovely filly by Danehill horse REQUIEM, one of two well bred fillies to make their debuts soon in a country where a maiden win pays for four or five months’ costs.
