CAPE GETAWAY (b.f. Jallad ex Foveros Song by Foveros) was purchased by Allan Bloodlines at the 2008 National Yearling Sales in Johannesburg, consigned by David Hepburn Brown's lovely Hemel 'n Aarde ("Heaven and Earth") Stud. The filly - by a top sire and broodmare sire - has three black type siblings including Group winners and Group 1 placed, making her admirable broodmare material.
Sent out by trainer Vaughan Marshall in Yoshiko Allan's colours, the filly ran fourth in a big field in what looks like a hot maiden. A very encouraging start.
