THE WINNERS KEEP COMING!

Titus Alone scores again at Kenilworth for Straight Bat Racing

26th Apr 2009

TITUS ALONE stormed to his most impressive win so far this afternoon at Kenilworth. Having missed the break, he coped with a moderate draw by sitting in the pack until weaving to the inside (far side from the stands) in what ought to be a poorly drawn position.

No worries! Aldo Domeyer said "go" and TITUS kicked for home, taking the lead a furlong out and running a length and quarter clear - quite a distance in what looked a very competitive 1200m sprint.

The Allan Bloodlines' racing club STRAIGHT BAT RACING thus had its third winner this year so far, with others placed, along with three other Allan owned and managed Cape Town winners - and the sister club in the UK HINTLESHAM THOROUGHBREDS had a winner with its first turf runner at Epsom last week!

Behind Titus today - well behind - were HOWDOULIKEMENOW and VANDROSS who had contested photo finishes in his last two races in which he finished 2nd and 1st. Vaughan Marshall certainly has TITUS ALONE in great form, even on very slightly rain-eased ground.
