BRACE OF WINNERS FOR CHRIS WALL

Allan purchase wins at Yarmouth before a stable star wins at Goodwood

1st Jun 2009

A brace of winners for trainer Chris Wall within a couple of days was started by Allan Bloodlines purchase LUMINOUS GOLD at Yarmouth late last week on the same day as Allan's CWM RHONDDA won for their own Racing Club Hintlesham Thoroughbreds. The connections of LUMINOUS GOLD are to be congratulated on a second win with this nicely bred filly. She had run disappointingly first time this term but, given a forceful ride by Seb Sanders, she set the pace, was headed and got in front again to win the 6 furlong handicap.

Listed glory awaited the star performer for Wall. Bernard Westley's PREMIO LOCO, a come from behind horse, took that definition to almost impossible limits to get up to beat a line of four others at Goodwood. This quite lightly raced 5 year old son of PRIZED was purchased as a yearling by Wall himself and is a tribute to the patience of owner and trainer, helped by a brilliant, almost truth defying ride by George Baker.
