GRAND VIZIER NOTCHES HIS SIXTH WIN

Allan clients enjoy another multiple winner

25th Jun 2009

Supporting a history of multiple winners for this ownership and management team, GRAND VIZIER stormed home at Kempton this evening to record his sixth win over a mile, carrying joint topweight.

This much enjoyed son of Desert Style is somewhat enigmatic having a rating of 86 on polytrack (rising as of next week) but 70 on turf. Although winning once on grass, this is not his chosen medium whereas polytrack around the country has proved a happy hunting ground on which to run.

Ted Durcan enjoyed the encouragement from managers Allan Bloodlines and their excellent supporters, owners Peter Brown and Sue Cunningham, and promptly made sure that the fundamentally lazy but talented Chris Wall trained GRAND VIZIER was kept up to the mark. Lazy he may be, but there is none braver because, under a powerful left handed drive from Durcan, he charged through on the rail and fought off challengers to win by three quarters of a length.

Brown and Cunningham with the Allan team and Chris Wall have owned LITTLE VENICE (5 wins), KEYAKI (7 wins including for the next owner) and GRAND VIZIER 6 wins and counting, all purchased at reasonable sums by Allan Bloodlines as yearlings.

Amongst other multiple winners purchased reasonably by Allan are BASKERVILLE triple winner with Peter Chapple-Hyam, DON'T PANIC Listed level performer also with Chapple-Hyam, CYFLYMDER current quadruple winner at 2 and 3 for James Given and Richard Hannon and Royal Ascot winner TITUS ALONE, now notching up the wins in Allan's operation in South Africa.
