THREE PURCHASES FOR KAZAKHSTAN AND RUSSIA

Strength for the good horses in shown in multinational Tattersalls Sale

29th Oct 2009

The somewhat surprising strength in the market for good and promising horses was demonstrated again at Tattersalls this week in the Autumn Horses in Training Sale.  With two dozen or more nationalities represented and an elevated median price, the Tuesday and Wednesday were particularly strong.

Allan Bloodlines welcomed a new client from Kazakhstan to add to its buying for that country over the past several years.  A 2 year old colt from Jeremy Noseda's stable was secured along with a 3 year old colt from William Haggas's consignment and a 4 year old filly from Clive Cox.  Various other attempts were made with a budget of up to 30-33,000 guineas but competition was strong and Allan was either under-bidder or called a halt as figures closer to 40k were achieved.

Some of Allan's Kazakh clients race exclusively in Kazakhstan and some in the Czech Republic, Germany and France as well.  In this instance, the horses will run in Russia and Kazakhstan.
