FULL HOUSE! ALL ALLAN MARES IN FOAL IN THE CAPE

Eleven mares in foal to very exciting stallions

28th Dec 2009

Full House!  All eleven Allan Bloodlines mares in South Africa are in foal as at the conclusion of the 2009 breeding season.

Seven are fully owned and four are owned in partnership - all the result of several years of development with a mix of imports and fillies bought as yearlings in South Africa and race.  (These do not include client owned mares and fillies under Allan management, the number of which is now beginning to increase).

In the forthcoming yearling sales of March/April 2010, Allan will consign just four yearlings.  But these will be followed by a crop of eight current foals including five by top sires National Emblem (3) and Captain Al (2) and one by exciting new sire Tiger Dance, full brother to Giant's Causeway.

Covering sires to which the mares are now in foal include established sires National Emblem and Casey Tibbs.  New sires include international Gr.1 winner Jay Peg, Tiger Dance, top sprinter Rebel King, recent import Antonius Pius and Danehill's son Albert Hall.

Seven mares are based at David and Sandy Hepburn Brown's Hemel 'n Aarde Stud, two with Craig Carey at Arc En Ciel Stud and two next door to Klawervlei Stud.

In addition, client mares at various farms are in foal to Second Empire, Alado and Tiger Dance.
