SEVEN VEILS 2ND GIVING 11.5KGS TO THE WINNER

SEVEN VEILS (see news entry 2nd Jan) was just caught on the line this afternoon at Kenilworth in a quick return to the track after her win 10 days ago.  Backed into favouritism, the 2nd placed filly nevertheless had to lug 11.5 kgs or 25.3 lbs more than MISSTOBE whose very young but impressive rider Neo Quale claimed 4 kg.

MISSTOBE is owned by Arc En Ciel Stud to whom congratulations are due and is a half sister to the stallion TOBEORNOTTOBE, standing at Hemel 'n Aarde.

SEVEN VEILS ran a blinder under the weight for MJ Byleveld who unwittingly went left of a beaten horse instead of right.  Right would have blocked the run of MISSTOBE but he wasn't to know that!
