10 year old brown mare Exciting all who see her immense scope, RAVEN is surely one of the more inexperienced horses to qualify for the prestigious Foxhunter Final at the Horse of the Year Show a few years ago. Now Grade A and placed in Grands Prix g the Hartpury Blue Chip, RAVEN is qualified for a Final at the Royal International Horse Show. However, Hickstead 2008 Derby Meeting showed her true form when she placed well in FEI Finals, qualified with ease for the Derby and performed superbly in the Derby itself given her inexperience. 9 year old grey gelding A multiple WINNER for the Team in 2005-2008, DIAMOND has progressed greatly to achieve victories at Grade C. He is a B&C, Grade C and 1.25/1.30 winner at Hickstead (three times), Royal Windsor (twice) and other good venues, DIAMOND has also palced 2nd in a Grade C Championship at Hickstead. Results

8 year old bay gelding A WINNER at 6 (Newcomers) at Henley in Autumn 2006, this erstwhile wild child is now an emerging professional and has the scope to catch up and perhaps even overtake his team mates. Rafa has won twice at Hickstead including the All-England B&C Championship and placed in Main Ring finals. He has all his double clears for 2nd round Foxhunter 2008 and several for 2009. LOUGHNATOUSA JIMBO![]() John and Jimbo pick up their first rosette together
10 year old grey gelding JIMBO joined the team on the back of a closing placed effort over 1.45s at a high quality show in Ireland. An immediate "hit" with John Crippen, this fellow has the scope to compete at RAVEN's level but is first being brought on quietly. JIMBO and John are getting to know each other rapidly and ran brilliantly at Hartpury's December show. Qualifying at Addington for the Blue chip Finals at Hartpury, Jimbo went well there and had a first look at a serious Grand Prix. Results
SCHOLARSHIP![]() Scholarship learns the ropes from Bernice at Windsor Great Park
7 year old bay gelding An Allan ex-racehorse, SCHOLARSHIP was a highly rated 2 year old who reached his limits as a sprinter and has been retrained at Aston Park. This young fellow has boldness and an excellent shape over a fence. Having rapidly shown what he can do and often what he wants to do, SCHOLARSHIP has moved on from 2nd in a Senior Discovery at the Bicester Show and placed at Henley to a 3rd in Newcomers at Addington. As an eventer, the preferred route for him, SCHOLARSHIP has finished 2nd in pre-novice and looks very well suited to these disciplines. Results
TONIGHT'S PRIZE![]() TONIGHT'S PRIZE and Gail Burchmore go clear at Bicton ![]() Tonight's Prize with Gail in Derby mode
14 year old bay gelding Guest showjumping appearances are occasionally made by ex racehorse "TP" who has climbed steadily through the eventing ranks (see Retraining Racehorses for his own story). Gail Burchmore, now based farther away, rode TP when showjumping in his early efforts. Gail added her expert schooling and competition skills to the long and painstaking work of Bernice Cuthbert with a horse who had physical and psychological problems but always exhibited great talent and bravery. His best showjumping appearances involved purple patches at Patchetts and a thrilling Newcomers Derby performance at Bicton and his greatest overall achievement and that of his trainer is to have gone clear cross-country at Advanced Level Eventing.
