Northern Conquest targets a Group 3

The Danzig stallion ALADO confirmed that he can sire progressive scopey juveniles when his imposing son NORTHERN CONQUEST beat several winners in taking the 1400 metres Juvenile Plate at Kenilworth by a clear 2 lengths.

Alado’s owner Miss Kirsten Rausing, for whom this was a first Cape Town win, has put in place through racing and breeding managers Allan Bloodlines a South Africa based programme of support for the stallion and it is beginning to pay off with winners.

NORTHERN CONQUEST, bought by Allan for the programme from breeders Klawervlei Stud, and placed successfully in training with Vaughan Marshall, has finished 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 1st clearly now relishing the 1400 and enjoying good rides from jockey Karis Teetan.  He may be aimed at a Group 3 in early June.

ALADO, a son of World Champion racemare ALBORADA in a family packed with top class performers, stands at Arc En Ciel Stud near Wellington, Western Cape.  Enquiries to davidallan@allanbloodlines.com or joanneknowles@allanbloodlines.com
