Follows up a good 4th with her second win

Running full of vim and vigour even though in a run of races close together, the National Emblem filly

(out of Sunnydale by Epsom Derby winner Shahrastani) put in a very encouraging performance to run a close 4th at The Vaal last week.

Jarryd Penny on board thought he and she would win at Flamingo Park today and he was right, leading in the 1000 metres sprint from gates open to passing the post, untroubled. This was her second win having been given a very long break after “growing pains” interrupted her. She has thrived since going into training with Tobie Spies to whom David has leased her.

Bred by David from a mare he bred in Ireland from an old Habitat mare, and brought to South Africa to win 3 times in the care of Vaughan Marshall, CLASS PROTECTOR is full sister to another winner FREE AS A BIRD and half to another DAZZ AL.
