Needing the run, Hintlesham Thoroughbreds’ multiple winner delights
HINTLESHAM THOROUGHBREDS’ three times winning mare CWM RHONDDA returned for her 2010 debut on a beautiful evening at Sandown a couple of hours ago.
Expected to run well but to need the race, the mare looked strong and well muscled in the preliminaries. Anchored at the back rather than going wide but travelling nicely, CWM RHONDDA was asked by Jack Mitchell to make an effort in the straight on the wide outside – and make an effort she did. An electric turn of foot took her momentarily to the lead which she surrendered only in the final strides to the 3 year old RIGHT RAVE who won by a neck. RIGHT RAVE had run twice this season already, winning 10 days ago. all credit to her for coming out quickly and winning under a penalty, while CWM RHONDDA will come on for this run.
