Kicking off the year with a Graded Stakes Winner (Gr3) on New Year’s Day – book ended by a winner on New Year’s Eve and another one on New Year’s Day – our flagship sire ELUSIVE FORT followed up quickly with a winner and a 2nd at the prestigious L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Festival this weekend.

The second placed horse was in today’s Grade 1 Queen’s Plate itself, one of South Africa’s most glamorous titles to win, with the magnificent KOMMETDIEDING back on the Grade 1 trail, defeated only by last year’s winner JET DARK – a son of TRIPPI destined or  place at stud.

KOMMETDIEDING won the 2200 metres Vodacom Durban July last season, so this brilliant run over 1600 metres in top company augurs well for the colt and for ELUSIVE FORT.
