FAIR PURCHASING AT AUTUMN HORSES IN TRAINING SALE
One nice 2 year old colt to run in England and a group for Central Asia.
A typically gruelling week in Newmarket at Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training sale resulted in four purchases by AllanBloodlines.
We only selected two for one requirement – a 2 year old with upside. On one we were underbidder, stopping at 45,000 guineas and on the other we were successful at 48,000 – a figure regarded to be about right by all of us and perhaps a shade under his value in the market that Tuesday evening.
Had he sold on the red hot Wednesday session – where the median was double Monday\’s – it would have taken 65,000 to get him.
TULFARRIS is for Mr Colin Bird. The Zoffany colt is a winner in France and Listed 4th. Not a big horse, he will relax and filly out a bit more in the next month or two at Fawley House, trainer to be decided.
Of several purchases for Kazakhstan, with our main players waiting for February Sale, we were most pleased with a 7,000 guineas Showcasing filly who will strengthen greatly during her 4 months off before the snows clear at her new home.
