6 fillies and 5 colts and 14 mares covered

Fillies by SUAVE (ex Frayne in Kentucky), BEAT HOLLOW (ex Sweet Sorrow in Ireland) and STORMING HOME (ex Citrine in Newmarket), and a colt by DIKTAT (ex Sentiment also in Newmarket) arrived in late April/early May to complete the Allan broodmare band’s Northern Hemisphere foaling season.

With Good Breeding’s three colts (MR GREELEY, EL PRADO and HAWK WING) and two fillies (PULPIT and NOVERRE), Allan with partners’ two fillies (LIBRETTIST and DIKTAT) and Allan’s own four fillies (SUAVE, STORMING HOME, DIKTAT and BEAT HOLLOW) and a single colt with rarity value by SAARLAND(!), the total is eleven foals with two mares having been barren, two sold in foal and one taken out of production.

Eleven mares for 2008 coverings are in tested in foal with three remaining to be scanned. Covering stallions are (Ireland) DANEHILL DANCER, HURRICANE RUN, ONE COOL CAT, MUJADIL, JEREMY, HAWK WING, HIGH CHAPARRAL and AUSSIE RULES, (USA)JOHANNESBURG, DIXIE UNION, POWERSCOURT, and LION HEART, (GB) DUBAI DESTINATION, TOBOUGG. A young mare booked to CAPE CROSS on an excellent mating sadly died after foaling and another, to ROYAL APPLAUSE, failed to cycle after having a late foal. (Subsequently….two of the remaining three have been scanned in foal making a total of 13 mares in foal).
