Young owned and partnership mares all a little overdue

In the last ten days of April, four Allan mares, owned and in partnerships, have produced foals in Ireland bred at the cautious end of the scale but on strong matings.

At Rathasker Stud, an Allan favourite winning filly SALONGA, now in 50/50 ownership, has a new colt by Classic winning Danehill horse CLODOVIL to add to her excellent MUJADIL yearling colt, a close relative of Trish Burns high class SINGAPORE LILLY.

SOXY DOXY by Hawk Wing is a very imressive individual, resident at Barnane Stud, and half sister to Gr,3 winner, Gr.1 placed MILLENNIUM DRAGON. Owned in a 50/50 partnership, her first foal is a current strong yearling colt by VERGLAS and she has just produced another by KHELEYF in an excellent mating, even if the sire has gone quieter at the sales.

Meanwhile at the same Co. Tipperary farm, Allan’s young DIESIS mare DUELLING, a 2yo winner and 3-parts sister to Guineas-placed filly Super Sleuth from a big Cliveden Stud family, has a new colt by CLODOVIL to follow her twice winning first foal and an as yet unraced DESERT STYLE.

And another Barnane inmate BEECHESVILLE, a NIGHT SHIFT sibling of three black typers, has given her three owners her fourth filly in a row! Her first (bought in utero) has not been great (yet?) but her second is with Dandy Nicholls and may run soon. May ELSIE TANNER become as famous as the Corrie character herself making the lovely AMADEUS WOLF yearling and a brand new late foaled DIAMOND GREEN filly immensely valuable!!
