Busy Cape Mare Sale in Worcester

David had a busy BSA Cape Mare Sale in Worcester, Western Cape today ending up buying four mares and under bidding on several others.

One was the joint second highest lot of the sale, an Australian bred winning (at 2) Danehill Dancer mare, a full sister to two multiple winners in SA and UAE, each with small black type several times over.

In foal to Vercingetorix, this 6 year old is for an experienced racing owner in UK and SA, moving into breeding.

R 130,000 secured what David considered to be the best looking mare or filly on the sale, a Grade 3 winning Windrush mare with several to run for her but empty on this occasion.

She will enter the ALADO PROJECT, managed by Allan Bloodlines in support of the Lanwades stallion ALADO at Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud.

A young Tiger Ridge mare – a winning half sister to an Australia/UAE black type winner – in foal to Vercingetorix and a 7 year old winning National Assembly mare in foal to Master of My Fate made up the full complement, both these intended for a new stallion to be announced soon.
