GRANDIFLORA BOUNCES BACK TO FORM
As part of a super four-timer for trainer Vaughan Marshall, our filly GRANDIFLORA hung on bravely to repel boarders when winning at Durbanville yesterday.
Well ridden by Sandile Mbhele, the daughter of ALADO put the winter behind her, loving the sunshine and faster ground.
GRANDIFLORA is one of 7 winners out of our old DARSHAAN mare MESSILA ROSE, plus some winning grandchildren of hers in France, UK and South Africa.
We also bred and imported SUNNYDALE, MESSILA’s half sister, who won three times (with Vaughan Marshall) and has produced three winners herself, before passing away after foaling CLASS PROTECTOR, a 3 times winner so far.
In all there are 18 winners out of those two sisters or out of MESSILA’s daughters.
