GRANDIFLORA WINS FOR THE OWNER/BREEDER

Nov 8, 2017

GRANDIFLORA followed up two 2nd place finishes, both drawn very wide, with a win today at Kenilworth. Although the margin was only a short head, MJ Byleveld piloted the 3yo filly to a cosy victory with something in hand.

GRANDIFLORA runs in the colours of her breeder David Allan and is the 7th winner bred from the Darshaan mare Messila Rose, now retired at Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud.

The filly was retained and named not only for the rose but also for the Allan’s favourite suite at Hintlesham Hall which they owned for 14 years.

Trainer Vaughan marshall facilitated this win amonst plenty of others in his current vein of form. GRANDIFLORA will have a bit of a break after running several times in fairly quick succession.
