Sempre Libera looks to have a win in her soon

Finishing second at Kempton may not amount to a headline, but it certainly felt like one for patient members of the Allan Bloodlines racing club HINTLESHAM THOROUGHBREDS.

Having started the season most acceptably with the club’s 2006 winning filly SALONGA placing twice after a comeback run, a combination of a hock injury, monsoon rains then very firm ground and an interrupted programme for the Club’s other filly added up to a period of considerable frustration.

That other filly was, and is, a lovely 2 year old filly named SEMPRE LIBERA, trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam. Having aimed for a July/August start, she finally made it to the track yesterday for her debut.

Ridden by the excellent Hayley Turner, SEMPRE LIBERA dwelt a little but then travelled well, executing an excellent run up the inside to follow the favourite home and finish 2nd to the delight of those in attendance.
