HRUK RUNNER PREPS FOR DONCASTER
Our HRUK runner – is entered for the 4.15pm at Doncaster on Thursday 10th September – 6 furlongs <90. Currently Soft, Good to Soft in places. Some but not much rain ahead is the gist of what the course is saying.
There are 37 entered for max 22.
There are no certainties on entry day as far as pecking order goes because there are several on the same mark, and there are 3 year olds getting weight for age. Rough estimate we would need about 4/5 to drop out based on ratings.
But….I think the 3 year olds only get 2 lbs at this time of year over 6f – and there are two 3 year olds rated 86 which would put them on the same weight as our HRUK runner now rated 84. So maybe we might be closer, depending on how that unravels.
Either way, one would hope…..
You have all seen the Whatsapp of him this morning which is seriously quick for a breeze like that, uphill, with a good work rider but heavier than a racing jock and benefiting from being on proper grass. Actually one of you has not seen it, so I attach it here – and recommend that everyone watches it if possible on a PC/laptop-sized screen, enlarged by clicking the little square top right when it is open. The key information is that “he did not blow at all, and bounced all the way home”.
I’ll let you know the pecking order tomorrow. We shan’t know anything about attendance allocations until a couple of hours after declaration next Tuesday.
