Back to form at a reduced distance

IMPERIAL DICE won comfortably in David Allan\’s colours this afternoon at Clairwood.

A seriously talented horse at home with trainer Alistair Gordon, the 4yo Parade Leader gelding had kicked off at 3 with an impressive maiden win. When stepped up in trip he placed more often than not but some runs against quite formidable opposition have seemed disappointing.

Back in trip to 1450 with new front running tactics, IMPERIAL DICE\’s dominance was thorough and although drawn poorly and wandering briefly in front, he pulled away to register his second win.

Bred by Nutfield Stud, Allan Bloodlines bought IMPERIAL DICE at the National Yearling Sales for R 100,000, giving him plenty of time to mature thereafter.
