Marshall trained grey wins comfortably at Kenilworth
IMPERIAL FOX, an awkward but very talented customer, won his third race today at Kenilworth over 1400 metres. A son of Allan Bloodlines’ heavily favoured stallion Klawerlei’s NATIONAL EMBLEM, the grey has his own ideas about things but not when the stalls open.
With 3 wins and 15 places to his name, this fellow is testament to Vaughan Marshall’s training skills. Originally bought by Marshall / Allan at the National Yearling Sales fron Nutsford Stud, IMPERIAL FOX quickly established excellent 2 year old form and was sold for a large sum to Hong Kong. Transport complications thwarted that deal and soon afterwards, the horse became very choosy about when and where to cooperate.
Patience of both his owners and his trainer has paid off with more consistent performances and, just now, another emphatic win.
