Well placed by trainer Mike Robinson, our 3 year old Tiger Dance filly KAMAISHI won for the third time on the bounce today at Kenilworth.
Apprentice Sandile Mbhele found his mount taking him to the front full of running, giving him confidence to stay there. He gave Kamaishi a breather on the bend then kicked on, winning – eased down – by 3 lengths that could have been 6.
Kamaishi herself must have thought she was loose, carrying only around 49kg with her rider’s claim, but she did not need all the claim and won this very decent handicap with considerable merit.
Leased into a great team who are enjoying their racing, Kamaishi can improve again. Well done to them all.
