Second win for Elusive Rose

The globally renowned Sadler’s Wells over Darshaan cross manifested itself at Durbanville yesterday when ELUSIVE ROSE (by ELUSIVE FORT by FORT WOOD by SADLER’S WELLS, out of MESSILA ROSE by DARSHAAN) won for the second time.

Bred by David Allan and sold as a yearling, the filly is trained by Brett Crawford and ridden by Sihle Cele for the owning partnership.  
MESSILA ROSE is in honourable retirement at Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud, where he daughter TIMPANIST also Allan-bred is a good producer.  She has a Toreador first foal winning colt and her second, a filly named GLENNIE, runs for our Hintlesham Racing ‘2nd and 3rd so far in three starts. 

MESSILA ROSE’s last foal by ALADO has been named GRANDIFLORA and will go into training soon, as will TIMPANIST’S JAY PEG filly named CHICK WITH STICK
