MISTER MAYDAY WINS FOR THE THIRD TIME

Jun 3, 2015

MISTER MAYDAY was given one of the best rides you could wish to see resulting in his third win today at Lingfield.

Bred by David Allan and Barnane Stud, the son of Kheleyf is affectionately described as “a goon” by his trainer George Baker who remarks that MISTER MAYDAY would be very good indeed if he could get his brain and body working in sync.

As it was, he planted on the way to the start but an excellent stalls handler ran up the course to get him.

Pat Cosgrove switched him off at the back then looked for a gap, finding only a very narrow one through went MISTER MAYDAY with not even a flick of the whip which stayed idle as he got up to win a shade cosily.

His dam SOXY DOXY now has two 3 times winners from her first two foals.  She has a promising Iffraaj 2 year old and is in foal to Dark Angel.
