SIR QUINTIN has grown into a big horse, finishing a neck 2nd on debut as a 3yo at Sandown yesterday, ridden by Hayley Turner. By a favourite sire of ours… DIXIE UNION, the mating with NO FRILLS (by Darshaan) was a good physical match and was closely researched with the help of Brain International. The colt was bred under Allan management, foaled at Barnane Stud, for a client for whom we bought the mare.  Her first foal since purchase in utero (similarly researched mating but of course not inspectable at the time!) is twice a winner and this one looks a better winner in the making, with a Montjeu colt to run next. Clearly trainer Andrew Balding has been patient, and SIR QUINTIN looked good on a good track.
