Comfortable win for the third winner of three Allan selections
3 year old filly SEVEN VEILS won a nice Greyville maiden today to follow her two third place finishes. Over the sprint distance of 1200 metres she nevertheless won by a length and a quarter, eased, and could have won by five.
Running in David Allan’s colours, trained sympathetically by Alistair Gordon near Durban and ridden very well by Anthony Delpech, this filly is by RICH MAN’S GOLD, the son of FORTY NINER who moved from South America to South Africa, sired some excellent stock and unfortunately died quite young. He actually had three winners on the day!
SEVEN VEILS was selected by Allan Bloodlines at the 2007 National Yearling Sale in Johannesburg and purchased from Mary Slack’s Wilgerbosdrift Stud where she was foaled. She was bought in a trio of potential broodmares along with National Emblem filly KIMIGAIO and Tara’s Hall’s daughter SECRET WISH. All three are now winners and all three have an exciting summer ahead of them.
