More broodmares are on their way

Winning filly SELIKA, purchased as a yearling and raced in South Africa by David Allan, trained by Alistair Gordon near Durban, has been retired to stud and will visit the very successful son of AL MUFTI, CAPTAIN AL, standing at Klawervlei Stud in the Western Cape. With a full book of mares, this opportunity had been reserved some time ago and the mating for SELIKA looks just right physically as well as having an excellent Brain International pedigree assessment.

SELIKA will be joined by FAIREST CAPE, a New Zealand bred filly by CAPE CROSS with a black type sibling and a very strong second dam. She will visit REQUIEM, an Australian raced son of the great DANEHILL, in an eye-catching mating involving DANEHILL and SIR TRISTRAM twice over.

COUNT AGAIN, a full sister to top class sprinter WAVES OF ARGOSY, bought at the same time as SELIKA has run 2nd twice and will visit the AllanBloodlines stallion LAKE CONISTON, possibly running in foal in search of a win.Allan Bloodlines is in the process of preparing to send more mares from Europe to South Africa, some being covered in England to Southern Hemisphere time. One or two of their own mares will join others recently purchased or to be purchased later in the year for clients and within partnerships, all likely to fly to the Cape in mid January
