TWO BOUGHT AT CPYS
Not a big haul but a real one nonetheless
Activity was limited at the Cape Premier Yearling Sales for us this year – although we had our fair share of “tilts” at several bigger lots.
Securing a Pathfork colt for a reasonable sum was very satisfying – Pathfork not being one of the “sexy” sires but having top level successes anyway. He will race for loyal client Seamus Burns.
Wanting a filly by Coup de Grace, and of course inspecting every horse in the sale, David had a list of four, then three, to work on. Two made big prices on the face of it, but ours did not. We appreciate the breeder letting her go for a live bid and hope she will do him proud.
